I contributed to the end-to-end development of a full-stack data analytics web application that allows users to ingest data through file uploads, cloud connectors, or direct database connections. I was primarily responsible for designing and implementing the backend systems that handle complex data operations such as pivoting, filtering, transformation, and dynamic report generation. The application features interactive, drag-and-drop dashboards for visualization, along with AI-powered capabilities like natural language question-answering on data and intelligent column-type prediction using Open-AI models. I built scalable and efficient backend services using Python and Django REST Framework, incorporated Redis and Celery to manage asynchronous tasks and scheduling, and developed features for sharing and scheduling both tabular and visual reports. I also worked closely with the frontend team using React JS to ensure seamless API integration and a smooth user experience.

Intelligent Document Processing for Accounts & Expense Automation

Developed and maintained a robust backend system to automate the extraction and classification of text from invoices and receipts. The system utilized pre-trained image classification models along with large language models (LLMs) like Open-AI and Gemini to intelligently parse and understand document content. I also implemented a PDF content summarization feature that extracts key points, enhancing the efficiency of document analysis for end-users. This solution played a key role in supporting Accounts Payable and Expense Management applications. The backend was built using Django REST Framework with PostgreSQL, and combined traditional techniques like regex with modern NLP tools to ensure high accuracy in text extraction. These efforts significantly reduced manual work for finance teams and improved overall processing speed and accuracy.
