• Plant closing activities -Allocation of actual overheads to the materials.
• Performing Material ledger Closing activities (CKMLCP ) -Allocation of all actual material costs to the materials.
• Variance analysis of products with respect to Std rates. It includes Raw materials variances and conversion cost variances.
• Forecasting of Annual budgets and outlooks and analysis of variances.
• Overhead rate calculations and identification of variances.
• Analysis and review of plant expenses to ensure cost control.
• Material cost allocations and accrual postings or MR22 Postings.
• Preparation of budgets and analysis of variances.
• Preparation of Outlooks for manufacturing plant
• Black line i.e. Balance sheet GL Reconciliations.
• Reviewing ML Analysis i.e. Future price activities, Non-distributed amounts, price difference (Std cost Vs actual cost variances), Reportable price differences.
• FI Vs MM Qty and Values check after ML Closing.
• Preparation of Fixed and variable cost reports.
• Freight rate analysis and posting of Intercompany adjustments.
• Co-ordination with Statutory and Internal auditors.
• Connecting with Plants and supporting during month end and non-month end activities.
• Signoff VIRSA and KCA’s, for Audit compliances.
  

• Driving all Planning processes – Annual operating plan, long range plan, Monthly & Quarterly forecasts.
• Support efforts to maximize the business value by identification of business drivers and partnering with key decision makers.
• Preparation of Variance and Gap analysis between Budget and Actual performance.
• Analysis and reviewing of plant expenses to ensure cost control.
• Evaluate cost optimization areas like freight, Alternate API and batch size changing.
• Preparation of Contribution Margin analysis & Price volume mix analysis reports by Product and Market level.
• Calculation activity rates and overhead rates for pricing decision purpose.
• Working with Global finance team to work on best Price for Intercompany transfers.
• Preparation of Business case analysis reports for new SKU’s.
• Review and approving the prices for the customers and bidding prices.
• Inventory control & Management.

Month end activities: -

• Preparation of Flash reports including variances with respect to plan and presenting to the management. (Profit forecast for the month)
• Execution of CO (controlling) module assessment cycles for calculation of product cost (Fixed and variable) to know the values of FG and SFG.
• Quantity reconciliation of FG and SFG materials. (Input to output)
• Analyzing department wise other variable expenditure and comparing with the budget and circulating to operational team as a part of cost control.
• Validation of kaizens and identifying the financial benefits.
• Preparation of P&L variances with respect to previous periods and circulating the same to DMC.
• Working out machine wise profitability.
• Reparation of cost sheets for various products.
• Estimation of outlook on monthly for the next three months’ period.
• Presentation of other MIS reports. (Dashboard, MILL PR, PL PR, Cost of sales)
• Presentation of variance analysis of usage and mix of raw materials on weekly basis.
• Calculating and Circulation of DCR to management.
• Preparation and presentation of outlook on monthly basis to DMC.
• Preparation and Presentation of export documents to banks.
• Accounting of exports realizations, Provisions for agency commission, export incentives and payments to agents.
• Working out best insurance policy with ECGC for export customers based on their performance.

Customized activities: -

• Preparation of Five-year business plan, with coordinating all other departments.
• Execution of plan activities in SAP i.e ECM activities.
• Validation of various FIP’S and kaizen’s. (To know the financial benefits)
• Performing User access test (UAT) in SAP for newly developed CO reports.
• Preparation of different variance analysis and presentation of to management as and when required.

SAP activities: -

• Execution of plan maintenance orders settlements to cost centers in SAP.
• Standard cost estimation (CK 40 N) for new products.
• Familiarity with standard CO reports.
• Validations of new raw materials and FG Products.
