Project Summary:

Definity financial corporation is a prominent Canadian company specializing in property and casuality insurance. Established in 2021 following the demutualization of economical insurance, Definity serves as parent company to several well-known insurance brands in Canada including Economical insurance, sonnet insurance, Family insurance and Petline insurance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding of business requirements from the initial phase and worked on Test approach documents.
• Involved in claims BAU(Business As Usual) production tickets we are having to enhancement of the existing tables.
• Having knowledge on preparing test cases, executing the test cases and documenting the test results.
• Participated in Preparation of Test plan and Test strategy documents.
• Execute the test cases and raise defects in JIRA.
• Validated the test scenarios manually which are schema validation , Null validation, duplicate validation, data validation and count validation.
• Participated on daily status reports and call.

Project Name : AXA

Project Summary:

Handled various ETL migration projects for entities such as HK, TH, ID, SG, PH and MY. The data from various legacy applications was being migrated to cloud and upgraded windows and Oracle servers for which we handled ETL Testing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding of business requirements from the initial phase and worked on Test approach documents.
• Involved in various phases of the project lifecycle.
• Having knowledge on preparing test cases, executing the test cases and documenting the test results.
• Participated in Preparation of Test plan and Test strategy documents
• Execute the test cases and raise defects in JIRA.
• Validated the test cases by using externalization tool for data validation and count validation.
• Participated in PDF file Comparison like PDF vs XML.
• Created BAU production support tickets and done the actual testing for those tickets.
• Executed the test scripts (in several layers data) Participated on daily status reports and call.

Manulife is a leading international financial services group which operates primarily as John Hancock in the United States and Manulife elsewhere. They provide financial advice, insurance, as well as wealth and asset management solutions for individuals, groups and institutions.

Manulife - Valuation system transformation program (“VST”) aims to provide a more reliable single data source and robust core reporting, that ensures timely, value-added insights to support business management decisions through more efficient integrated group-wide systems. The new IFRS17 solution replaces the existing IFRS4 standard, and it enhances the disclosure and presentation of insurance accounting, exposes the underlying actuarial calculations and risk management tools to investors.

• Understanding of business requirements from the initial phase and worked on Test approach documents, check whether the tables are mapped properly in DB.
• Preparation of test plan, test strategy and test closure documents.
• Executed the test scripts (Annex1, Annex2, Annex 3A and 3B layers), worked closely with the Dev and BA team.
• Execute test cases and run in ALM (Application Lifecycle Management.

• Having knowledge on preparing test cases, executing the test cases and documenting the test results.

Guide wire insurance Suite™ provides an end-to-end set of applications that support insurance operations like underwriting, policy administration, billing, and client’s management. The insurance Suite applications are a set of common platform modules that cover the property and casualty insurance life cycle and typically replace legacy systems development internally by insurance carriers. Metlife Guidewire implementation deals with new GW V9 products customizations for three personal lines of business (Auto, Home and Umbrella) rolled out to multiple states in the U.S.

• Analyzing and understanding the ETL mapping documents and writing SQL queries based on r equirements given in high level document.
• Preparation of Test Scenarios, Test Cases based on the given requirements.
• Performed System testing and Regression testing.
• Involved in Package validation using functional and non-functional test scenarios.
• Defect tracking in Rally board.
