  • Among capabilities there will be a backup check point call to discuss & work on the long pending issues
  • Performing the deep dive analysis on the reasons for capacity issues, accordingly retention data which is already crossed & expired will be deleted for all kind of backups
  • The data which is spread across libraries, ensuring to balance the load across all libraries (PTL's & VTL's) to overcome from outage
  • Retention data is maintained in the PTL library only as per customer requirement
  • If capacity is consumed on PTL's & no ways to generate scratches, then based upon the analysis of incoming data/Size used to procure new PTL tapes through change process
  • Any TSM instance is scheduled to down for an activity, communicating to all capabilities about the CHANGE window, once the instance is back, confirming to all teams to resume their backup/restore jobs
