E2E Server Provisioning Automation: Designed and developed end-to-end (E2E) automation for server provisioning at BMW Group, Germany, using VMware vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) (8.X), ServiceNow, Oracle DB, and custom tools for storage and IPAM integration. Led the Compute Automation team spread across India, Germany, and Romania.

• VM Provisioning & Integration: Developed workflows, ABX actions, cloud templates, and Day-2 actions for VM provisioning in vRA/vRO, integrated with ServiceNow for request management. Orchestrated VM provisioning for SUSE 15 and Windows 2022, including OS installations via SSH and SCCM.
• Custom Tool Integrations: Integrated multiple custom tools (IPAM, storage) into the VM provisioning process to streamline operations.
• POCs & Architecture Design: Successfully developed multiple proof-of-concepts (POCs) and contributed significantly to architectural design decisions for vRA-vRO implementations.
• ServiceNow Interface: Developed mechanisms using VRO for dynamic notifications in Microsoft Teams and implemented OOP-based solutions in JavaScript for VM provisioning.

• OneHypervisor Mega Project: Led the migration of 25,000+ VMs from Xen hypervisor to VMware solutions.
• #Data Migration: Migrated NFS storage to NAS solutions using VRO workflows and Ansible playbooks.
• BMC Remedy to ServiceNow Migration: Redesigned use cases to ensure compatibility with ServiceNow, including dependencies and integrations.

• Cloud Solutions & Automation: Developed and managed hybrid and private cloud platforms using VMware Cloud Suite tools like vRealize Automation (vRA), vCenter, vSphere, vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), and IBM solutions.
• Endpoint Configuration & Provisioning: Configured endpoints in vRA to provision data center and cloud resources, utilizing vCenter templates and custom AMIs.
• Blueprints & Build Profiles: Created and managed blueprints with build profiles for server configuration and provisioning automation.
• vRO Workflow Management: Developed provisioning workflows and Day-2 operation packages in vRO, integrating plugins such as vCenter, PowerShell, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Configuration Management & CI/CD: Integrated Chef roles into deployment processes, improving configuration management in multiple stages, and utilized Ansible for patching activities in BareMetal environments.
• API Development & Testing: Developed REST APIs to verify CMDB server availability, fetch CI data, and ensure API reliability through testing.
• Repository Management: Managed software repositories, ensuring updates aligned with new engineering releases.

• Chef Upgrade Project: Upgraded Chef Client from Open Source 14.X to Enterprise 16.X, addressing provisioning challenges due to limited licenses and incompatible Chef Plugin versions.
• BareMetal Pattern Development: Played an active role in the development of BareMetal patterns using the Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) appliance.
• Ansible Integration: Replaced BigFix patching with Ansible in the BareMetal Pattern for more efficient management.
• ServiceNow (SNOW) Integration: Developed REST operations and workflows to integrate pattern requests with ServiceNow, ensuring Day-1 and Day-2 operations are tracked and stored in CMDB.
