Business Activity Warehouse(BAW):

Currently contributing to BAW, Citi's global enterprise data warehouse for travel and expense management. BAW consolidates and standardizes detailed expense data from 15+ disparate source systems, providing end-to-end visibility into corporate spending across supplier payments, third-party vendor transactions and employee travel reimbursements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and compliance rules for global expense tracking.
• Designed and maintained ETL processes to ensure accurate data ingestion, validation and transformation of travel and vendor-related financial data.
• Building and managing Ab Initio graphs, plans, and psets to support high-volume, performance-intensive data pipelines across various business domains.
• Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with expertise in shell scripting to automate ETL tasks, manage file-level operations, and streamline data workflows.
• Worked on building fact and dimension tables to support data marts for business intelligence reporting.
• Ensured data quality and consistency across systems by implementing robust validation logic aligned with Citi's global finance policies.
• Developed robust datasets by integrating data from multiple source systems and crafting complex SQL stored procedures for transformation and validation.
• Engineered optimized SQL queries, joins and stored procedures to fulfill dynamic reporting needs and ad hoc data analysis requests.
• Automates data processing tasks by designing and managing Autosys job schedules to trigger various ETL and reporting packages.
• Contributed to system knowledge transition preparing detailed system appreciation documents and actively supporting the handover process.
• Conducted thorough root-cause analysis of post-deployment issues and implemented corrective actions to ensure system stability.
• Documented comprehensive metadata, including entity definitions, attributes, business rules and valid data values to ensure data clarity and governance.
• Facilitated cross-environment migration of Ab initio sandboxes using SSH Tectia, supporting smooth transitions across development and production environments.

• Participated in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to design and evaluate scalable ETL solutions for diverse data requirements.
• Delivered an end-to-end sample project involving data ingestion, transformation, and report generation to demonstrate proficiency in full ETL lifecycle.
• Received training in professional communication, collaboration methodologies, and stakeholder engagement practices to support effective teamwork in a corporate environment.
