  • Applications: Spatial Net,Boundary Manager,ADR & AutoCAD.
  • Scope: The main scope of this project is to provide fiber to the customer by using splitters.


  • Description:


  • VPL telecommunications has been active in the Australian telecommunications network industry. The VPL Services joint venture was responsible for the rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN) throughout regions of QLD, VIC and NSW. The actual scope of work entailed planning, designing, and constructing three fiber serving area modules (FSAMs). Cyient scope was limited to planning and design of fiber network in Spatial NET and updating construction/as-builts in AutoCAD. In this project the main theme is provide fiber to the customer by using splitters. It has three parts.

  • We design the network based on number of customers and type of customer. We need to plan the route (pit & pipe) of cable passing and equipment placement based on UFA categories & SOW. Then plan will go to the survey. After the completion of survey, we have to prepare the DDD as per Survey Markup and UFA Design rules. Preparing the Detailed Construction Plan, Reports, BOMBOQ and Layouts.


  • Responsibilities:


  • Planned and designing the transit network, FAN distribution fiber network, and FDH/FJL local network based on the NBN type 2 and type 3 architecture and match the splitter ratio 1:32.
  • Planning and designing was done by using the regulatory standards of the infrastructure owned companies like Telstra for UG network by following the NBN guidelines.
  • Optimizing NBN network by using the existing Telstra Network and proposing the new routes according to duct occupancies as per NBN Co network guidelines.
  • Updating the connected data in Spatial NET.
  • Assigning Naming Conventions to Equipment's and Cables.
  • Preparing deliverables like splice details and celemetrix reports for SD1 scope.
  • Preparing CWP with construction notes and SOR codes and Preparing BOM & BOQ.


  • Project 2: METRONET
  • Client: USA
  • Applications: 3-GIS,QGIS,Google Earth Pro
  • Scope: The main scope of this project is to provide fiber to the customer by using Existing CATV Network.


  • Description:


  • Planned and designed FTTH networks for greenfield areas, utilizing base mapping for aerial and underground routes. Designed using distributed split architecture with 2x8 and 1x4 splitters to connect SFUs (Single-Family Units), MDUs, and commercial buildings.


  • Responsibilities:


  • Planned FTTH fiber routes for greenfield areas.
  • Designed feeder and distribution networks.
  • Strategically planned and implemented splitters (1x4 and 2x8).


  • Project 3: CCI (Consolidated Communications)
  • Client: FairPoint (USA)
  • Applications: Microsoft Visio, ARAMIS(G-Technology), Fulcurm,IKE,Google Earth Pro and Excel.
  • Scope: The main scope of this project is to provide fiber to the customer by Using Existing Copper Network.


  • Description:


  • Designed fiber network layouts, including CO (Central Office) to individual FDH (Fiber Distribution Hub) connections, as per client requirements.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Planned and designed networks, determining HUB locations for aerial and underground layouts.
  • Designed and implemented fiber cables for internal buildings (MDUs).
  • Allocated customer addresses as per HUB capacity.
  • Planned terminal installations (4, 6, and 12-terminal configurations) to serve customer needs.
  • Allocated fibers from HUBs to customer premises.
  • Conducted quality checks and prepared deliverables.
  • Then drafting the whole design in G-Technology.

  • Scope: Remove the Copper Network and Replace the Fiber Network and find out the FDH size.


  • Description:


  • The main aim of the project is to replace the copper network and place the fiber network by using AutoCAD software. The project majorly following four steps Planning, Pre-Design, Fielding and Final design. The input given as .dwg file that includes cable, structures, lot numbers, street names to the design area in the form of pdf format. After placing the poles and anchor guys we drop the cables from nearest poles. These pdf is sent for fielding to check the length of Span to know the difference error feedback. Then go for the Final design we come to know the sizes of terminals, cables, splice depending upon the customers. The final decliner is .dwg, BOMBOQ, pdf.
