- 1.In this role, I manage plant quality and quality control (QC). In the quality department, I oversee the receiving of seed lots managed by the seed procurement parameters, which include moisture content, physical purity, germination percentage, genetic purity, seed health, seed size, inert matter, moisture migration tests, and the conditions of packing materials.
- 2.In quality control, I conduct seed germination studies, which involve lab tests and field emergence tests. This process includes seed putting and counting both the first and final counts following ISTA standards.
- 3. Maintain a nursery where we conduct these tests(FET), managing weeds, pests, and disease control within the nursery.
- 4. Genetic purity studies, I perform purity checks on hybrid lots and foundation seeds. This includes DNA isolation, PCR preparation, gel documentation, and result absorption. Genetic purity and germination results, and I am extensively involved in analysis in this area
