Manulife-Japan-TM project focused on developing Power BI reports for Manulife Financial Corporation

As a Data Analyst below are My Activities:

• Worked on Agile methodology and updating tasks progress for each report in JIRA.
• Analysis of requirements with stakeholders and writing documentation for solutions to be developed.
• Creating SQL queries once received the Mapping and SPEC Documents from BA. We will start creating datasets as per the requirement
• Writing SQL Queries and implementing Logics adding extraction conditions.
• So, here queries will be shared with ADF team to create the external tables as per the information provided from my team
• Source for Connecting to power BI Azure Data Lake Storage Cloud. Creating tabular, Bar, charts in power BI and implementing the logics by writing
• DAX expressions and measures Once development completed reports will be deployed into Workspaces. Which is using Deployment process for a different environments.
• Creating parameters and prerequisites in report level and gateway connections established and combined the parameters.
• Maintaining Production support for all the development power BI reports in workspace
• Implemented Visual Level, Page level, report level filters and pinning in dashboards
• Written simple DAX calculation as per the requirement to maintain business measures
• Worked on RLS to implement Security for the reports in workspace

Swiss Re_T&M Services-Europe   (07/2023 - 11/2023)

Swiss Re is a Switzerland-based international reinsurance provider to multinational companies. 

We design, build, operate, and maintain Finance Operations, Liquidity (LIRA), and Assets and Liabilities (ALMA) reports and cubes. The purpose of the project is to have Assets, Liabilities along with Liquidity reports at any point in time to have a glance.

As a Data Analyst involved in below activities:

• Requirements Gathering: Analysis of requirements with the client (Actual Swiss Re Managers) meetings Translating the business functional requirements to technical specifications by data analysis and design application using agile methodology
• Created a Tabular model with datasets for dimensions and facts with summarized data to use in reporting.
• Adhoc Power BI reports with DAX queries with metrics, and KPIs on top of Tabular and multidimensional models to have summarized data and maintain all the developed objects with the team.
• Creating the roles for the dashboards, sharing the developed dashboards to the client in Power BI
• Worked on report permissions and dashboard permissions to provide access to different users

IBU BFS Canada   (03/2022 - 06/2023)

Scotia Bank is one of the leading bankers in Canada. We design build and maintain ECMS- enterprise capital management system-related reports for management. The purpose of the project is to have capital management reports for different periods at a glance with adjustments.

As a Developer, below are my activities.

• Writing Complex SQL Queries to define the data sets.
• Created tables for loading data in SQL server database tables
• Once received the un appropriate mapping part details in an excel sheet by combining those to create SQL Queries.
• After completing the SQL Codes and created datasets Paginated reports have to be developed.
• Check the execution times and then optimize the ETL workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
