Roles:

• Recently we migrated from .Net MVC to .Net Core and upgraded our UI to Angular.

Before that,

• Upgraded two legacy ASP.NET web forms applications to ASP.NET MVC and merged them into one single application.
• Designed Automation engine - where users can enter formulas for metric calculation, which greatly reduces delay in feature implementation and by saving cost and improving bottom line by almost 10%.
• Automated Feed Importing process and reduced manual work by more than 50%.
• Designed a concept of gamifying the application and enhanced user experience by introducing pure html & css animations.
• Designed Dashboards for Management, Sponsors and Decision makers.

Challenges :

• Moving to open source i.e. .Net Core from MVC and also use Angular for UI and setting up Azure environment for the application to function smoothly was extremely challenging since we had to do it while maintaining zero downtime.
• Overlooking team to implement docker to migrate iPerform application to linux servers.

Projects : Treasury Vision

Roles :

• Stabilizing project by developing unimplemented functionalities and fixing all bugs which started generating revenue and increased sales by 25%.
• Migrating legacy ASP.NET framework to new ASP.NET MVC.
• Maintaining application by implementing regular change requests .

Challenges:

• Had to streamline deployment process by implementing CI/CD pipeline with Manager overseeing progress while participating in regular releases.

Projects : CIMIS for CRB Tanzania.

Roles

• Designed and developed Question Bank engine (Win Forms) which processes word document with questions and inserts into database for generating online examination.
• Based on database, prepared web application where user can generate custom exam where user can set time limit, number of questions, syllabus etc. for students.
• Developed standalone vertical SAAS web application to collect fees on behalf of schools.
• Gathered requirements by interacting with clients on site and drafting all documents.
• Developed CIMIS web application for CRB Tanzania Govt, to convert their previously fragmented, manual, excel dependant process to integrated centralised database management information systems where data is updated live and reflected across all dependant systems.

Challenges

• At a very early stage in my career, seen an entire project lifecycle from bidding phase to delivery and bill collections as well. Requirement gatherings, Client Interaction, Training and UAT Testing were all new and challenging.
• Learning ssis and ssrs at night from free resources and implementing functionalities to generate reports and database migration was extremely challenging as well as satisfying.
• Also near end of delivery and after moving to maintenance phase stared leading the team.

Projects : GPS & MS Collect

Technologies : .Net Framework (ASP.NET & C#), Windows Services, SQL, Javascript, XML.

Roles :

• Was initially assigned a software tester role. I then moved to development team in same project. Was enabling functionality which was already written for other countries to new countries.
• Moved to MS Collect to work on MS Collect, developed Windows Service to pick up invoice xml feed from shared location, read it, extract details like sender, receiver, signature, body and attachments if any.

Challenges:

• Some emails were getting bounced as there was size limit business rule. To reduce bouncing, suggested to zip attachments and also implemented size limit business rule.
