· Application: The product is a control unit for EV two-wheelers which can control various sub systems in the vehicle. The key subsystems which the VCU controls are secondary motors, sensors, Audio module.

· Key Contributions: Requirements capturing through direct interaction with customer. System Architecture and u-architecture design. HW block level design, simulation and PoC validation. Schematic and layout design. Interaction with Mech designer and align on Mech and electronics constraints. ERC, DRC and DFM checks. PCB Manufacturing and board bring up. Testing and Validation. Documentations. Leading a team of 3 members to develop this product.

· Key challenges: The system is handling the battery lines directly hence the severity level of compliance/safety that needs to be achieved is complex. The high-power section and low power section operates on common ground which makes the ground planning complex.

Ridot B4C

· Domain: Automotive

· Platform: KiCad, LT Spice

· Application: B4C is a MPU based smart HMI which comes with 4inch circular LCD display for two wheelers. It supports various instruments and indicators suitable for next generation electric vehicles. System has CAN bus to interact with different ECUs within the vehicle along with multiple GPIs. System also has BT/BLE to enable the wireless connectivity and control.

· Key Contributions: System architecture and u-architecture. HW block level design, simulation. Schematic and Layout design. Interaction with FW team to enable cross functional development. Continuous interaction with Mech designer to align on Mech constrains. ERC, DRC and DFM checks. PCB Manufacturing and board bring up. Testing and Validation. Leading a team of 4 members to develop this product.

· Key challenges: The MPU that is used for this design comes in a BGA package with 128 pin. Within limited time doing the layout design for this MPU was a key challenge. Display and the external RAM used in this system are on parallel interface and both needs length matching. All these together makes the Layout design challenging.

Ridot K7R

· Domain: Automotive

· Platform: KiCad, LTSpice, MPLAB

· Application: Ridot K7R is an Android based Instrument cluster HMI with 7inch LCD Display for connected two wheelers. It supports various instruments and indicators suitable for next generation electric vehicles. System has connectivity features which can enable handsfree call and media. K7R is designed keeping the needs of the next generation connected vehicles providing configurable UI, navigation tracking and telemetry.

· Key contributions: HW & FW architecture and u-architecture design. HW & FW block level design and development. HW PoC validation. Driving the Mechanical design through external vendors. Schematic and Layout design. ERC, DRC and DFM checks. PCB manufacturing, and assembly. Board bring up and validation. Over all integration. Electronics, Mech and environmental Pre-compliance. Selecting the LCD display. Leading a team of 4 members to develop this product.

· Key challenges: The validation and testing of the Dispaly from different vendors were also complex and time-consuming tasks. Layout design with 3 RF domains (LTE, Wifi/BT & GPS) and getting defined performance under in different surroundings was a key challenge. DSI interfaces for display needed both length and impedance matching.


Electro Magnetic Flow Meter

· Domain: Industrial

· Platform: KiCad, LTSpice, STM32cube IDE, Scilab

· Application: Electromagnetic flow meters (also called as Mag meters) are volumetric flow meters that use electromagnetic induction to measure the liquid velocity. The system produces a magnetic field around it and measures back the induced emf which is created due to the flow a conductive liquid.

· Key Contributions: HW & FW architecture and u-architecture design. HW & FW block level design and development. HW PoC validation. Working closely with Mech team to ensure the design happens seamlessly. Schematic and Layout design. ERC, DRC and DFM checks. PCB manufacturing, and assembly. Board bring up and validation. Over all integration. Calibration of the product. Product testing. Leading the test setup development with external vendors. Implementation of demo units at customer facility. Leading a team of 3 members to develop this product.

· Key Challenges: The actual signal was in the range of few uVolts and it is obtained from an environment which is highly noisy. Testing system with multiple setups was challenging due to availability and different climatic conditions.


MCC Marvel

· Application: This is a system that is used to control and drive high power Motors. The system has the configurable option to switch the load.

· Key contributions: HW block level design. Working closely with Mech team to ensure synergy. Schematic design. ERC checks.

· Key challenges: High power (75kW) system.


Barcode Skimmer

· Domain: Consumer

· Platform: KiCad, MCUXpresso

· Application: Barcode Skimmer is a plug in device that converts a standard PoS to smart PoS. This product also brings in the feature of live connectivity to cloud/app for classic PoS.

· Key contributions: HW block level design and development. HW PoC validation. Driving the external Mech team to build the enclosure. Schematic and Layout design. DRC and DFM checks. PCB manufacturing, and assembly. Board bring up and validation. Over all integration. FW block drivers.
